ARKTEKT Buildathon Official Rules

NO PURCHASE OF ANY ADDITIONAL PRODUCT IS NECESSARY TO WIN. The Buildathon is a skill-based competition judged on the merit of submitted work. It is not a lottery, raffle, sweepstakes or game of chance, and winning is not determined by chance.

Sponsor: ARKTEKT Technologies, LLC, 12609 White Trail Circle, Jacksonville, FL 32226. Last updated 2026.

01Eligibility

The Buildathon is open only to enrolled participants of the Master Builder Program Founding Cohort who are legal residents of the fifty United States or the District of Columbia and are 18 years of age or older at the time of entry.

Employees, contractors and immediate family or household members of ARKTEKT Technologies, LLC and of any judge are not eligible to win a prize. The competition is void where prohibited or restricted by law.

02The competition may not take place

The Buildathon and its prize are conditional. If fewer than 50% of the 50 available cohort seats are sold before the cohort begins, the Buildathon will not be held and no prize will be awarded.

This condition is a material part of these rules and of your enrollment. Enrolling in the program is not a purchase of a prize entry, and the value of your enrollment does not depend on the Buildathon taking place. Participants will be notified inside the program community if the Buildathon is cancelled under this clause.

ARKTEKT Technologies, LLC also reserves the right to cancel, suspend or modify the Buildathon if fraud, technical failure, insufficient eligible submissions, or any other factor beyond its reasonable control impairs the integrity of the competition.

03How to enter

Submit your build through the submission form provided inside the program community before the announced submission deadline. One entry per participant. Entries must be your own original work, created during the cohort, and must not infringe the rights of any third party.

Incomplete, late, or non-functioning submissions may be disqualified at the Sponsor's sole discretion.

04Judging and criteria

Entries are judged by ARKTEKT Technologies, LLC and any judges it designates, on the following weighted criteria: quality of the problem identified, clarity of the specification and architecture, whether the build actually works, evidence of iteration in response to reality, and demonstrated value created.

Judging decisions are final and binding. In the event of a tie, the tied entries are re-scored on demonstrated value created.

05Prize and payment

One grand prize of $2,500 USD will be awarded to a single winner, provided the Buildathon takes place under clause 02. No substitution, transfer, or cash equivalent other than the cash prize itself.

Payment will be issued approximately 30 days after the Buildathon concludes, following winner verification. The winner must supply a valid IRS Form W-9 and payment details before payment is issued. The winner is solely responsible for all federal, state and local taxes on the prize, and a Form 1099 may be issued where required by law.

If a winner cannot be verified, is ineligible, or does not respond within fourteen days of notification, the prize may be forfeited and awarded to the next highest scoring eligible entry, or not awarded at all.

06Rights in submissions

You keep ownership of your build. By entering, you grant ARKTEKT Technologies, LLC a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display, reproduce and describe your submission and your name for the purpose of judging, program operation, education and promotion of the program.

07Release and limitation of liability

By entering, you release ARKTEKT Technologies, LLC and its officers, members, contractors and judges from any claim arising out of participation in the Buildathon or acceptance or use of a prize, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

Nothing in these rules is a guarantee of income, business results or employment. See the Earnings and Program Disclaimer.

08Governing law and contact

These rules are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Duval County, Florida.
